Use of synergies to become a region for hydrogen technologies – the Cologne-Rhineland region has mastered the structural change: with great initiative and the strategic use of funding from the Federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia, the German Federal Government, the EU and municipalities as well as funds from the private sector, the region, which is dominated by the chemical industry, today plays a pioneering role in hydrogen technologies.

To improve the market maturity and economic viability of such technologies in the Rhineland and deploy them in the framework of several large-scale projects, almost 50 stakeholders from politics, industry and research are bundling their wide-ranging expertise in the network “HyCologne – Wasserstoff Region Rheinland e. V.”.
